Hi there! I’m Gabriela, but please, call me Gabby. 💕
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, I now call Toronto home. With a degree in Mass Communications and over a decade as a Marketing Specialist, one thing has always fueled me: creating and sharing. Even as a kid, I found joy in bringing ideas to life—through coloring books, puzzles, and stories—always with a little magic to share. That love for creativity has never left me, and it’s what continues to guide me today.
Growing up in Venezuela, I was surrounded by beauty standards that pushed so many girls toward pageantry and modeling. I even gave modeling a try myself in my teenage years. But deep down, I knew that version of beauty didn’t quite fit me. I wasn’t interested in perfection or competition—I craved connection, self-expression, and a space where beauty wasn’t about fitting into a mold but about embracing who you are. That’s how Not Quite A Model was born.
This blog is a celebration of that idea. Not Quite A Model is more than just a name—it’s a mindset. I’m not a fashion model, and I don’t want my content to act as a “model” or blueprint for anyone else. Instead, this space is about exploring, experimenting, and embracing all the beautiful, messy, ever-changing parts of womanhood. Because life isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s what makes it so incredible.
Here, we talk about it all—cutting your own bangs on a whim, discovering beauty products that make you feel amazing, navigating body changes, and prioritizing mental health. No filters, no perfection, just real, honest conversations. My hope is that through this space, you’ll feel inspired, supported, and empowered to show up as your full, authentic self.
Thank you for being here. Let’s break the mold, lift each other up, and redefine beauty on our own terms. Here’s to embracing womanhood—together.
Much love,
Gabby ✨
