Paris Outfit Ideas: Lookbook for Stylish City Looks

In the summer of 2024, I had a dream that I was doing my baby’s gender reveal in Paris. At the time, it felt magical but distant, like one of those beautiful dreams you carry with you. So when I found out I was pregnant in February 2025, we immediately knew we had to honour that moment and make Paris the destination for our babymoon. What started as a dream turned into a full European adventure: Paris, the South of France, Rome, Naples, and Florence. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Even though Paris was a short stop on our itinerary, it was the city I was most excited to dress for. I’ve dreamed of visiting Paris since I was a little girl, and I wanted my outfits to reflect the chic, timeless elegance the city is known for, while still being realistic for my pregnant body. At four months along, I was in that in-between stage where nothing fits quite the same and you don’t fully look pregnant yet, just a little bloated. On top of that, I hadn’t announced my pregnancy publicly, so I was mindful of choosing silhouettes that felt flattering and subtle.

This Paris lookbook is a mix of comfort, femininity, and effortless style, designed for long walks, croissants, and unforgettable memories.

Classic Red, White & Blue

Yes, it’s a little cliché, but I wanted my first Paris outfit to feel timeless. Red, white, and blue felt like the perfect nod to classic French style. I envisioned something comfortable yet romantic, something I could wear while wandering the streets and enjoying my very first authentic Parisian croissant.

What’s more Parisian than polka dots? I chose a beautiful cotton-blend off-shoulder polka dot set from Cider. The capri pants have been everywhere this past year, and I love how they elevate the look while giving it that effortlessly European feel.

Since we were there at the end of May and the weather was still slightly chilly, I layered it with a vibrant red cardigan from Old Navy and finished the look with simple black flats. Comfortable enough for walking, chic enough for Paris.

The set in Cider is still available, but the cardigan is sold out. Below is a similar option.

Sporty Chic

Day two was all about movement: landmarks, subway rides, and nonstop walking. I knew comfort had to be the priority without sacrificing style. I stuck to my favourite color combination, black and white, and built a simple, practical outfit with loose jeans, a black turtleneck, a cozy crewneck sweater, and Puma sneakers.

Was it the most traditionally “Parisian” look? Probably not. But it had a subtle 90’s vibe that I loved, and it felt clean, and effortless. It made me feel put together while allowing me to enjoy the city without worrying about sore feet or tight clothing. Sometimes style is about how confident and comfortable you feel, and this outfit did exactly that.

Little Black Dress

My final day in Paris was the most emotional and meaningful. It was the day we honoured the dream that started it all: our baby’s gender reveal.

We only had half a day before flying to our next destination, so we made it special. We picked up the gender reveal cupcakes our friends had ordered, stopped by a boulangerie for fresh bread, grabbed cheese and fruit, and headed to a garden facing the Eiffel Tower. There, in one of the most iconic places in the world, we found out we were having a girl. I was completely shocked, because I truly believed we were having a boy. It was pure magic.

For that moment, I wore a simple little black dress paired with my red cardigan. Elegant, understated, and timeless. It felt like the perfect way to close our Paris chapter: soft, emotional, and incredibly special.

Paris Gender Reveal Not Quite A Model

Paris already feels like a place I need to return to. I wish we had stayed longer, wandered more, and had more chances to dress up and explore the city slowly. I keep imagining going back one day as a mom, with my baby by my side, creating new memories and trying new outfits that celebrate my new body and this new chapter of my life. Paris was just the beginning, and I know there are many more beautiful moments waiting for us there.
